A forward deployed engineer (FDE) is an engineer who works directly inside a customer's team, rather than at a distance, to understand their real problems and build, deploy and support the solution in their environment until it delivers results.
How is that different from an AI consultant?
A consultant often advises and designs. As a forward deployed AI engineer I also write the code, integrate with your systems and take the agent into production, then hand it over with training.
Do you work on site?
Yes. I'm based in Dallas–Fort Worth and can embed on site across DFW, and I work remotely with teams anywhere in the USA.
